Over the last 4 decades I have been to showers, anniversary parties and weddings. I have personally planned a wedding shower, baby showers, and a wedding but I had never planned an anniversary party! In this guide, I would like to share the tips, tricks, resources and of course local businesses that make such events special with lasting memories! As I was planning my parents 40th wedding anniversary party I realized that there is not much support in this process and of course as one who loves to share with the community! I thought I would share what I have learned and discovered on my most recent planning adventure! From finding a venue, to picking the food, to decorations, and entertainment, to the most important part for me the sweets, I am so excited to share all that I learned and hope that will enjoy this guide and use it as a resource to help you in planning your next special event.

If you choose a bigger venue most likely the food will be included in the package. Most venues have catering menus with multiple options from sit down service to buffets. They take care of the cooking, set up and clean up!
But if you are like me, and have a very picky family of eaters, you will want to find a caterer who can build a menu of your choosing! With lots of places to choose from in our area, this was probably the second most difficult decision to make! Here are a few of the top choice caterers in our area:

Every party needs a theme.
For Wedding showers it is usually something representing love in either a secondary color or wedding color.
For a baby shower, they are usually represented by babies, animals, and pastel colors.
An anniversary party is represent by color for number of years.
Some people may be creative and like to make their own decorations! Yeah to Pinterest!
Invite your guests in with a decorative yard sign from Enchanted Garden Greetings!
Amazon is a great place to start as they seem to have everything for any event. But make sure you don't buy impulsively as you will want to research and be sure you get things according to your set theme.
