☀️ Make the most of these long, sunny days!
Looking for simple, no-fuss ways to keep your kids entertained this summer? These DIY backyard games are easy to set up, budget-friendly, and a great excuse to get outside for some classic family fun.

🧽 Sponge Toss

Supplies: Buckets of water, large sponges
How to Play: Soak sponges in water and toss them at targets — or each other! It’s a quick cool-down game perfect for hot afternoons.

🎯 Hula Hoop Hopscotch

Supplies: 5–8 hula hoops
How to Play: Lay the hoops on the lawn in a hopscotch pattern. Kids hop through as you call out challenges like “spin in a hoop” or “hop backwards.”

Water Balloon Baseball

Supplies: Water balloons, plastic bat (or pool noodle)
How to Play: Pitch water balloons and see if players can smash them mid-air. Expect shrieks of laughter and a good splash!

🥤 Cup Stack Knockdown

Supplies: 10 plastic cups, small soft ball
How to Play: Stack cups into a pyramid. Take turns tossing the ball to knock them down. Keep score or race against the clock for extra fun.

🎨 Chalk Obstacle Course

Supplies: Sidewalk chalk
How to Play: Design a path with hopscotch, zigzags, circles to jump in, and silly challenges like “quack like a duck.” Great for creativity and movement!

🎁 Bonus Tip:

Set up a little prize station with stickers, bubbles, or popsicles for the winners — or for anyone who plays!
