Create Lasting Holiday Memories at WonderWorks Destiny

Interactive Exhibits and Seasonal Fun

By Cher Murphy December 17, 2024

With the holiday season in full swing, people are busy shopping, attending parties, and spending time with loved ones. WonderWorks Destiny is ready to be a part of those plans, as they celebrate the holidays with plenty of fun and festive things to do for guests of all ages. They are doing several things to turn up the dial on holiday fun for everyone, including giving mall workers some exciting discounts as a thank-you for their hard work this time of year.

“Destiny USA really comes to life during the holiday season, so we’re excited to offer shoppers a great place to kick back and have some fun!” said Jon Cascella, general manager at WonderWorks Destiny. “Our Toys for Tots drive is back this year, and it’s a great way to give back to our community. Happy Holidays!”

Many people will head to Destiny USA for their holiday shopping this year, and WonderWorks is the perfect spot to take a break, blow off steam, and make some memories away from the holiday hustle and bustle. Spending a day at Syracuse’s indoor amusement park for the mind will remind people of the fun and joy that the season brings. The upside-down lobby has been decked out for the holidays and includes a must-see upside-down Christmas tree that makes for a great photo opp.

WonderWorks Destiny is excited to be a drop-off location for Toys for Tots all month long. Throughout December, guests are invited to donate new, unwrapped toys, which will be given to local families in need. All gifts will help bring smiles to the faces of local children this holiday season. The program supports the Syracuse area Toys for Tots mission.

To show extra appreciation for all the employees working hard throughout Destiny USA this holiday season, WonderWorks is offering them a buy one, get one ticket deal and a $50 discount on birthday parties through December 2024. These holly jolly discounts are available to everyone currently employed at a store or restaurant inside the mall. Mall staff must show their employee identification, name tag, or a recent paycheck stub at the WonderWorks admissions counter to redeem the offers.

Guests and mall shoppers are invited to browse the Wonder Shop, conveniently located in WonderWorks’ upside-down lobby, where they will find a range of exciting items for the science lovers on their gift-giving lists. There are a variety of souvenirs, gifts, and stocking stuffers for people of all ages. From WonderWorks t-shirts to slime, shoppers will find something for every science fan in their life. Central New York locals can also opt to give a gift that guarantees a whole year of fun by surprising them with a WonderWorks Destiny Annual Pass. The pass provides the holder with unlimited visits to the attraction for a year and includes access to the popular Canyon Climb Ropes Course. Annual passes are only $75, plus tax, and can be purchased at the ticket counter or online.

“2025 will be here before we know it! Our team is hard at work prepping some great events, programs, and deals for the year ahead. We hope to see you at the upside-down lab real soon!” said Paige Perry, sales manager at WonderWorks Destiny.

WonderWorks is already geared up for an exciting New Year, as it continues to be a leading provider of educational fun in Syracuse for 2025. This season’s youth art contest applications are about to come to a close, and the winners will be selected, announced, and installed in the Wonder Art Gallery in early 2025. Guests will be invited to stop in and see the new "Nature of STEM" masterpieces created by local students.

Homeschool Days will also return on select weekdays throughout January and February 2025. These special days will give homeschool families and groups an opportunity to visit and explore the exhibits at a discounted rate. Plus, now is the time for homeschoolers and others to mark their calendars for Science Week, a fan-favorite event that takes place during Syracuse City School District’s winter break in February. WonderWorks aims to provide an exciting place for students to check out science sessions and see live demonstrations during winter break every year, where they will have a unique, memorable, and fun look at the wonders of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

On top of these returning events, WonderWorks Destiny will offer a wide variety of other educational programs and promotions throughout the year for local students and families to enjoy. It also offers group rates, scouting programs, and corporate event packages. For more information, visit the site at: https://www.wonderworksonline.com/destiny.
