I encourage you all to take the time to meet and learn about the new candidates running for Greece Central School District School Board. Three new candidates running are Septimus Scott, Miguel Millan, and Jordan Stenzel! Together they ask for your vote. These three men all have school age children and first hand experience in our Greece schools. They have taken the time to reach out and express their ideas and reasoning for running with Macaroni Kid Greece.
WHY ARE THEY RUNNING?
Septimus Scott: "As a candidate for the Greece Central School District Board of Education, my priority is to provide our children with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in post-secondary education or their chosen careers while also positively contributing to the community. To accomplish this, I am a strong proponent of creating a safe and secure environment that promotes optimal learning outcomes. Our in-school population is critical in shaping our society's future trajectory; thus, we must invest in their academic growth and development. I propose a fiscally conservative budget that prioritizes effective resource allocation to achieve the best results for students and educators."
Miguel Millan: "It’s time for change! As a first-time board member, I will embody a relentless focus on striving for the highest level of academic achievement possible for ALL students. I am committed to being a conduit for the concerns and interests of students, parents, teachers, and community members. I will create a transparent process of accountability amongst all stakeholders. I will implement common-sense policies and programs that are proven to make schools safer for students and teachers."
Jordan Stenzel: "As your future board member, I will bring my years of experience providing a solutions first mindset towards all areas of the Greece School District. With a primary focus on quality related improvements. I am driven towards ensuring opportunities exist for all students equally to succeed academically and beyond. I will help bring transparency and honest communication back to the district to develop meaningful relationships of trust among all parents, students, educators, and other community partners. I will ensure that learning and accountability are a key focus of the district by implementing SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-Oriented) based measures for key learning areas such as reading, writing, and mathematics. I am committed to providing a safe learning environment for all to succeed and thrive."
