Outdoor Adventures Begin at Girl Scout Summer Camp

Girl Scouts are Forces of Nature

By Michelle A. Martin March 14, 2023

Girl Scout Outdoor Adventures inspire girls to lead through experiences, self-discovery, and collective achievement.

Whether they’re swimming in a lake for the first time at summer camp, discovering the wildlife in their own backyards, or being a citizen scientist and observing bees in their local park, every outdoor adventure grows a Girl Scout’s “I’ve got this” attitude.

Camp Piperwood Day Camp is offered for girls entering grades Kindergarten- 12 in Fall 2023. From Camp Leadership programming, Spa Piperwood, ropes course, a state of the art splash pad, archery and so much more – Camp Piperwood in Victor, NY offers something for every girl. Breakfast and snack is provided daily and transportation from various locations around Rochester, NY and surrounding areas is offered for a nominal fee. Interested in learning more? Join Girl Scouts of WNY for a Taste of Camp Piperwood on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 1:00- 3:00PM where you can experience Girl Scout Camp through hands-on activities, s'mores by the campfire, tour the camp and meet and engage with Camp Director MB. All attendees will be entered in a drawing for your chance to win a free week at camp, plus there will be lots of prizes and give-a-ways.

Through the generosity of the United Way, residents of Monroe County may be eligible to receive a full scholarship to attend camp Piperwood for as little as $25.00 for 5 weeks.
