2021 Back to School Guide

By Leah Levine, Publisher Macaroni Kid Greece-NW Rochester August 17, 2021

It is hard to believe summer is coming to an end and for us here in Rochester, we are starting to think about Back-To-School planning. As a teacher, I was really hoping things may be different this year. I was hoping we could start the year off with less stress and unknown that last year. I am hoping for 5 days of in person instruction. Unfortunatly, COVID is still a risk and as teachers we will once again endure the extra planning and safety guards to make sure your children are safe at school. I am very impressed by the quick and continuous supports of our local school districts to ensure the safety and support mental health of our students in the community. As a parent, I know the roller coaster feelings of happiness for school, yet scared for both physical and mental health. One thing I am proud to say that when I have been out in the community I seeing much more kids aware of sanitizing and keep distance between other families. This a direct response to the hard work and dedication from parents like you, who want to keep our kids busy and healthy and have taken the time to teach them how to best protect themselves.

Our annual Back-To-School Guide is provided to help you plan the next THREE weeks with ideas for places to shop locally for all your needs as well as our annual giveaway of school supplies.
